Universal Donation Application. (UDA)
Aim
Imagine the world as a large map that you can rotate in any direction, zoom in and out on and not only observe, but actually make a difference and change something. All within the realms of your smart phones internet connection and the Universal Donation Application.
Impact
The UDA is a quick way to react to something you see in everyday life. Locally or globally. The endangered wildlife of your holiday or the homeless people you see every day. After you have donated you can easily follow the spending of your donation, by receiving status updates on the projects you have donated for.
Next step
The app needs to be developed and legal matters must be sorted out.
NGOs
How do we get NGOs to embrace this tool. We have a meeting in november that will hopefully clarify this issue.

In order to create a prototype I need help with the following:
Programming. I don't really know how difficult a task this represents. Maybe you could use the open source code from Ushahidi. Ushahidi is a tool that beautifully empowers people around the world be letting them report sightings of violence to a interactive world map. Maybe it would be possible to tweak it to fit the goals of the Universal Donation app. This needs further discussion with a tech person. And also, someone willing to do the actual programming.
It looks like we will need to start of with the Android platform. Apple charges 30 % on every purchase through Itunes. The goal is to minimize the number of clicks before the actual donation occurs. Therefore it would be great if users did not have to type in credit card info but rather use an existing database like the Itunes account.
Furthermore, I will need substantial funding for purchasing web domain and server hosting in the long run.
